Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window

A plane transporting the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the jet's front window, according to an announcement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.

"The plane landed following standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This incident does not mark the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to Washington after encountering a mechanical problem.
